Turkey to turn Iraq’s Development Road into multi-fuel energy corridor Iraqi News
ISIS militants launched a second attack on Iraqi forces in the Hawija area, a predominantly Sunni Arab district in southwestern Kirkuk province.
The latest attack targeted the PMF’s 61st Brigade, less than 24 hours after ISIS attacked a Federal Police position in the same broader area, killing one officer and wounding four others.
In both attacks, ISIS militants targeted thermal surveillance cameras used by Iraqi forces. An ISIS sniper reportedly disabled another camera during Tuesday night’s attack.
A similar attack near Hawija in September also resulted in the destruction of an Iraqi Army thermal camera, suggesting ISIS cells have repeatedly targeted surveillance capabilities in the area.
The Federal Police earlier announced a nightly 6 p.m.–6 a.m. curfew in Hawija following the first attack, although subsequent reporting gave conflicting accounts over whether a formal curfew remained in force.
Hawija was one of ISIS’s main strongholds in Kirkuk province after 2014 before Iraqi forces retook the district in 2017.

Here is what’s known so far about the attack on the Aframax Rio oil tanker in the Black Sea, per various Russian media outlets.
The tanker is Liberian-registered (carrying a cargo of oil) and it was attacked by sea drones near Sochi’s Sirius region, according to Russia’s Transport Ministry. The attack caused a major fire, with oil currently burning on the surface of the sea.
All 23 crew members, who are Indian citizens, have been rescued, and preliminary reports indicate there were no injuries.
Beaches in Sochi have been temporarily closed and authorities say monitoring has so far found pollutant concentrations in the air well below permitted limits. The area is well known as a location for Dolphins.
Emergency crews say they can’t yet approach the tanker safely and will begin tackling the burning oil once the intensity of the fire subsides.

🇺🇸/IRAN – Iran Captures “High Tech” US Navy Undersea Drone Built by US-based “Anduril”
▪️Like Anduril’s highly touted but useless drones in Ukraine Ukrainians themselves refuse to even use, the US Navy’s newest undersea drone from Anduril, the “Dive LD, ” has already been captured intact by Iran;
▪️Whatever technology that would have made it effective, if it even was in any way effective, is now in the hands of not only Iran, but also by extension of alliances, Russia and China;
▪️Similar instances have taken place where “advanced” US systems have been captured by Iran and their specifications reverse engineered not only into equivalent weapon systems, but also into effective measures used against these systems and related platforms;
